Glasgow City Chambers
The stunning Glasgow City Chambers sits in the heart of the city centre in George Square.
After an architectural competition, Glasgow-trained architect William Young designed the building and it was opened by Queen Victoria in 1888.
Sculptures depicting Truth, Riches and Honour are featured on the exterior of the building, as well as statues depicting the four seasons.
One of the most impressive features of the interior is the ornate grand staircase, made of Carrera marble.
