Elements Glasgow


Elements is an intimate fine dining, local neighbourhood restaurant in Glasgow’s Bearsden. Headed by renowned chef Gary Townsend, it opened to phenomenal reviews in July 2024. The menu at Elements showcases Gary's passion for using the best seasonal produce from Scotland and the UK,  simple yet elegant with plenty of technical flair. Just 10 weeks after opening it made its debut in the Michelin Guide and was awarded 3 AA Rosettes shortly after.

The restaurant has been designed to provide views of the stunning dining room from every angle, with a view into the kitchen too. There is also a chef’s counter within the restaurant where guests can experience a distinctive and immersive dining experience.

It offers a six course traditional and vegan tasting menu, an a la carte menu and an excellently priced three course set menu. Alongside a traditional wine pairing, Elements has been amongst a handful of Scottish restaurants to launch a bespoke soft pairing with interesting, creative and unique options.

The menu at Elements changes with the seasons and showcases Gary’s passion for sourcing produce from Scotland and around the UK, with a focus on using the best local ingredients. A seasoned forager, Gary incorporates handpicked ingredients from the surrounding area of Loch Lomond and the Trossach in his menus.

Thoughtful, evolving menu development is key to ensuring that what Elements serves continues to surprise, delight and reflect the high standards the restaurant is known for.  It enables the team to craft a culinary identity that sets them apart in a competitive landscape. Whether it's through the celebration of Scottish produce, global influences, or seasonal creativity, the menu becomes a signature of inspiring moments. By updating the menu regularly, Gary and the team ensure that what’s on the plate reflects the time of year and the integrity of their sourcing. This resonates with modern diners who care about where their food comes from and how it impacts the world. Whilst Elements is very much a neighbourhood restaurant in its ethos and approach, it continues to be a destination restaurant for travellers and foodies alike.

We can provide private hire for up to 45 people in our restaurant and can tailor menus to suit most requirements and themes – creating something bespoke and memorable for guests. We also support collaborations with other producers – so can provide whisky, wine and gin tastings from various local, UK and international distillers/producers.
