Glasgow University Union is a unique historical venue situated in the heart of Glasgow’s West End. With its grand architecture and original period features, the building boasts versatility. With the capacity to host large dinner events, conferences and meetings, at the Glasgow University Union, we possess a wealth of knowledge in hosting academic and corporate functions.

Glasgow University Union has a wide variety of spaces available - from the grand Debates Chamber to the intimate Bridie Library, we have the perfect room for your event. Our fully stocked bars offer a wide range of quality drinks and our excellent catering team creates all dishes in-house and can adapt to any specific requirements, whether you are looking for canapés or a three-course meal.

  • Grey stone building with turrets on either side of the wooden and glass door. Above teh door is an imposing stone balcony and large stained glass window.

  • Large room with parquet flooring and wooden panelled walls. Fairy lights hand from the ceiling and the round tables are set with crisp white linen tablecloths, silver cutlery, glasses and candles.

  • Large theatre style room with balcony and stage. On the stage there is a large digital screen with three people sat on armchairs below the screen on stage. Off stage the audience sits in rows of red chairs.

  • Large theatre room. The stage at front of room has red velvet curtains. There is a wooden balcony around the room at first floor level. The room has a wooden floor and natural daylight from the windows that run down either side of the room.
