Glasgow’s visitor offering continues to evolve with a vibrant mix of new venues that reflect the city’s rich character, creativity, and culinary excellence. Visit Glasgow is delighted to welcome three outstanding new members to our network: Elements, Gael & Grain, Glasgow Food & Drink Tour and The Islay Inn.
Each of these venues brings something unique—whether it’s fine dining in the leafy suburbs, traditional Scottish hospitality in the West End, or a lively pub atmosphere in the heart of the city. Ideal for travel trade partners planning itineraries for group tours or FIT travellers, these venues highlight the diversity and quality that make Glasgow a must-visit destination.
Elements
Elements is an intimate fine dining, local neighbourhood restaurant in Bearsden, to the north-west of the city. Headed by renowned chef Gary Townsend, it opened to phenomenal reviews in July 2024. The menu at Elements showcases Gary's passion for using the best seasonal produce from Scotland and the UK, simple yet elegant with plenty of technical flair. Just 10 weeks after opening it made its debut in the Michelin Guide and was awarded 3 AA Rosettes shortly after. Exclusive use for 45 people. Read more on our website.
Gael and Grain
Gael & Grain is a charming Scottish pub nestled in Glasgow’s leafy West End. Just a few minutes’ walk from the Kelvingrove Art Gallery, the trendy Finnieston area, and close to Charing Cross, it offers a perfect starting point for exploring the rest of Scotland. The main restaurant accommodates up to 65 guests, providing a cosy and inviting atmosphere. Private Events Space can seat up to 30 guests for a sit-down dinner, or up to 40 for a more casual setting. The Islay Inn
At the heart of Glasgow, this venue is more than just a pub – it is a welcoming hub where people of all ages come together to enjoy great food and create memorable moments. The mission is to offer an elevated pub experience that blends the warmth of traditional hospitality with a modern touch. The venue proudly hosts a variety of events, including Gastro Nights, live music, comedy nights, and traditional Scottish music sessions. Glasgow Food & Drink Tour - Merchant City
Explore Glasgow’s Merchant City and East End on a guided walking food tour that showcases the city’s rich heritage and vibrant local flavours. Guests visit six venues, enjoy tastings of Scottish produce, and support independent businesses. Tours last around four hours and include food, drink, and expert local insight.
