Glasgow has been named one of the world’s top trending destinations in Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best 2026 awards.
This recognition places Glasgow among the top one percent of destinations worldwide, based on millions of traveller reviews and ratings. It highlights the city’s growing global appeal as a destination celebrated for its creativity, culture and warm welcome.
Tripadvisor praised Glasgow for its “bold contemporary culture, vibrant dining scene and status as the UK’s first UNESCO City of Music.” The city was also commended for its connection to Scotland’s dramatic landscapes, with easy access to the Highlands and islands.
