Glasgow: Dear Green Place


Glasgow is one of Europe’s leading sustainable tourism destinations. The city has an overall goal to be net zero by 2030 and acknowledges the destination’s role in promoting and encouraging responsible tourism and events.

Using the UN Sustainable Development Goals as inspiration, the city is focusing on taking forward the Glasgow Tourism 2030 Strategy.

In 2023 Glasgow was ranked 8th within the Global Destination Sustainability (GDS) Index, against 100+ other destinations across the world.
