Nearly two years after opening, Michelin-recommended restaurant Elements has unveiled a refreshed menu and evolved dining format designed to give guests more flexibility in how they experience the restaurant during the week.
Led by chef owner Gary Townsend, Elements in Bearsden, Glasgow has quickly established itself as one of Scotland’s leading dining destinations, earning a Michelin recommendation within months of opening alongside Three AA Rosettes, an AA Notable Wine List Award and multiple national hospitality accolades.
The refreshed menu has been designed to be more accessible for relaxed midweek dining, whether guests come in for a drink and a couple of dishes, or a full dining experience. Some of the new additions include: Cullen skink croquetas with Arbroath smokies, hand-dived Orkney scallop with Jerusalem artichoke and thermidor glaze and 35-day aged prime sirloin with maitake mushroom and pressed chips. Desserts include a tiramisu featuring Glasgow-based Dysdale Brewery stout cake, Jamaican blue coffee and whipped mascarpone.
Alongside the food offering, Elements has also expanded its wine and drinks selection, with more wines available by the glass, a broader range of premium alcohol-free options and a renewed focus on creative twists on classic cocktails and seasonal serves, creating a more flexible style of dining throughout the week.
As part of the changes, the restaurant will extend its opening hours from May 20th, introducing all-day service from 12pm until 9pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, alongside Friday and Saturday lunch services. Friday and Saturday evenings will remain dedicated to the restaurant’s tasting menu, while Elements’ Chef’s Counter experience continues throughout the week for guests looking for a more immersive and exclusive dining experience.
Gary Townsend said: “As we approach our two-year anniversary, I’ve been reflecting on the incredible support we’ve had from our local community and what I want Elements to feel like going forward.
“Growing up, my family had a favourite local restaurant we returned to time and time again. It wasn’t stiff or formal. You could go for dinner but also stop in for a drink and a small bite midweek. It always felt good to be in, and some of my favourite memories around food came from that place.
“That feeling has definitely influenced this next step for Elements. What won’t change is the focus on quality produce, thoughtful cooking and our warm service, but we want the restaurant to feel a little more relaxed, a little more flexible and somewhere people can enjoy more regularly while still feeling special.”
Bookings are now open and can be made via Elements Restaurant.
